www.goclear.co.nz www.goclear.co.nz Alignment on the go! ThefirstBridgestoneNewZealandmobile truck wheel alignment service is now servicing the Greater Auckland, Northland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty Regions, but there are plans to extend the service nationwide. Utilising the latest in JOSAM cam-aligner technology, the wheel alignment service helps reduce tyre wear, which improves fuel economy, handling and extends the life of tyres. Bridgestone New Zealand commercial business manager Jeremy Mackintosh said the deployment of the mobile truck wheel alignment service vans will be more cost and time efficient for customers. “Being able to bring such a crucial service to depots rather than requiring our customers to come to us means less time off the road, which is vital to business success,” he said. Part of Bridgestone’s Total Tyre Management programme, it is the first time the company has offered on-site technical service and advice on truck and trailer wheel alignment. Bridgestone NZ introduces BMobile BridgestoneNewZealandhasannouncedthe introduction of BMobile, the company’s latest tablet technology, bringing quick service and access to real- time data to ensure maximum operating efficiency. “The goal of BMobile is essentially just to make the whole process of fleet management easier for our customers,” said Bridgestone New Zealand commercial business manager Jeremy Mackintosh. “This platform gives increased visibility on tyre performance and life, enabling technicians to efficiently carry out work required.” BMobile provides five key benefits: live data; service level agreements; scheduling; invoicing and reporting; and enhanced OHS. Technicians visiting depots now have real-time relevant servicing information, service level agreements, safety information and key contacts. “With the rollout of BMobile, doing business with Bridgestone will now be easier than ever, and we believe it will assist our customers to operate more efficiently with less down time, while simultaneously maximising tyre life,” Mackintosh said. CVC Nelson – Southpac Parts and Service Dealer of the year The Nelson branch of Commercial Vehicle Centre Ltd (CVC) has taken top honours in the Southpac Parts and Service Dealer awards for New Zealand. If that wasn’t enough, parts manager at the branch, Andrew Dodson, won the Parts Excellence award. The awards are based on a combination of supplier performance assessment and customer feedback. CVC general manager Lindsay Affleck said the awards were significant on a number of fronts. “The team in Nelson have put in a huge effort to build up that business from the time we bought it from Nelson Truck and Marine in 2009. Awards are not easy to win and they show a huge level of commitment on the part of the team and to our customers. All three sites now run under McCurdy Trucks and manager Paul McCurdy says they will continue to represent all brands they currently represent, but in more locations. McCurdy Engineering was founded in 1965 by Jim McCurdy. In 2011 the McCurdy family took over ownership of well-established company Moller Johnson in their new truck orientated workshop, and at the time a newly established Bell Block service workshop. “ With the integration of both our companies into one to better serve our clients and the increase of service and repair work since the early 90s, we feel that now is a great time to rename to McCurdy Trucks,” says Paul McCurdy. “McCurdy is who we are and trucks are what we do so it’s simple really. Engineering is still a big focus for us and that is still growing, but McCurdy Trucks represents us best today and in the future”. A new purpose-built facility is planned for New Plymouth and other like-minded businesses that serve the transport industry are being sought to make the site a one-stop transport ser vice yard. PEOPLE. WHEN YOU BOIL IT DOWN, THEY ARE WHAT MAKE ANY BUSINESS TICK. WHICH IS WHY WE ARE VERY PROUD TO BE A KIWI FAMILY BUSINESS. From humble beginnings in our original home of Te Kuiti, we’ve grown to become one of New Zealand’s largest independent suppliers of petroleum. We’ve done this through belief in the power of relationships, rock solid commitment to staying New Zealand owned, offering the best possible value for money and sticking around to keep the fuel flowing when the oil giants pulled out. To us, it’s all about people. And it always will be. Download the Waitomo app from the App Store or Google Play to find your local Waitomo Fuel Stop today.
